1) What is .香港 Pre-Launch Priority Submission? .香港 Pre-Launch Priority Registration is designate for existing English .hk holder to apply their CDN.香港 domain with free before opening the registration of .香港 to the public. Top   2) What is the schedule for .香港 launch? Phase Schedule Pre-Launch Priority Period 22 February 2011, 12:00 (GMT+0800) until 10 March 2011, 23:59 (GMT+0800) Activation of .香港domains (single application for same domain) 23 March 2011 (tentative) Activation of .香港 domains (multiple applications for same domain) 30 May 2011 (tentative) .香港 General Availability 31 May 2011 (tentative) Top   3) Who is eligible for application submission under this period? Any entity or individual holding an eligible English .hk domain can apply for a CDN.香港free of charge under equivalent category. Both English .hk and success CDN.香港 will be bundled under same registrant; bundle domain name shall be renewed and transferred together with the same expiry date. Top   4) What does it means by an Eligible English .hk domain name? An Eligible English .hk domain name means: (a) an active English .hk domain name (b) which has been applied for prior to 1st February 2011 (c) which is more than ninety (90) days from the domain expiry date Top   5) What does it mean by equivalent category? Equivalent category means domain name categories on the same row in below table. Domain name categories on the same row are equivalent to each other. Application submitted during Pre-Launch Priority period is not on first-come, first-serve basis; application will be collected as a batch and processed by registry. Top   7) How many domain names can be applied for an Eligible English .hk domain name? Only one CDN.香港 domain name is allowed per one Eligible English .hk domain name.

8) What will be the expiry date for the CDN.香港 domain name?

Both English .hk and success CDN.香港 will be bundled under same registrant; bundle domain name shall be renewed and transferred together with the same expiry date.

9) Any supporting document is required for the application?

Supporting document is requires upon registry’s request for verification and allocation of the CDN.香港.

• a copy of the relevant certificate of registration for the Eligible Registered Trademark issued by the Hong Kong Trademarks Registry; or


• a letter of declaration in which the Applicant declares that it is the registered Hong Kong trademark or service mark owner, together with proof of the trade mark registration (e.g. search results obtained from the online database of the Hong Kong Trademarks Registry). The Applicant is only required to provide a letter of declaration and online search results for the trade mark registration, if the Applicant is unable to produce a copy of its certificate of registration as specified in (a), or where the Applicant is asked to do so by either HKIRC or HKDNR;


• a copy of the Business Registration Certificate issued by the Inland Revenue Department, HKSARG, the Certificate of Registration of Overseas Companies issued by the Company Registry of Hong Kong, the Certificate of Registration of a School or any official document evidencing the registration of the organisation, government department or bureau, or educational institution, that HKIRC deems in its sole discretion to be acceptable evidence of registration of the relevant organisation, government department or bureau, or educational institution. The document shall show the Chinese Name of the Applicant; or


• if the applicant is an individual, a copy of the Hong Kong Identity Card, passport, or any other form of official photographic identification issued by the Government in the Applicant's country of residence, that bears the Chinese name of the Applicant; and


• a document which clearly shows that the Chinese Domain Name is the Chinese name of the product or the name the Applicant trades. This may be evidenced by a document issued by the Government, or a copy of the press release issued before the Cut-Off Date; and


• written evidence of the satisfaction of one of the similarity criteria as describe below.
