Why EPP?
While most gTLD Registries (Generic Top Level Domains), such as .com, .net, etc are EPP compliant, many Asian ccTLDs (country code Top Level Domains) Registries still uses legacy proprietary protocols such as HTTP API or regular email. As a result, many EPP-ready Registrars are reluctant to sell Asian ccTLDs due to high cost of implementation and compliancy requirements for some Asian ccTLDs. Responding to the many requests from registrars and resellers for Webnic to provide an EPP-based platform, Webnic is pleased to announce that the first EPP registrar/reseller platform is ready!
